Backed Finance - A Platform That Makes It Easier For Investors

We are pleased to announce Backed, a new project that expands access to financial assets by bridging equity into decentralized finance. Supported introduces a fully supported ERC20 token that represents the value of popular equities such as Tesla, Google, Apple and can be used throughout the DeFi ecosystem.

We believe that a reliable financial infrastructure should be accessible to everyone around the world. For the first time in history, internet real money allows worldwide access to open financial systems. And still, most financial assets remain outside of current blockchain innovation.

Supported is built on the idea that all publicly traded assets will eventually become crypto tokens, cross -border tradable and blockchain platforms. We are developing the infrastructure to enable this change, following in the footsteps of important players in our ecosystem, such as Circle and Paxos.

Several synthetic security tokens and trackers have appeared on the market, but due to their limitations, they are struggling to build a solid foothold. Currently, most of the assets available are specialized platforms or lack the trust that consumers have with assets such as USDC. Our priority is to overcome this challenge and introduce products that are compatible and operable from day one.

Enter Supported

Backed Finance is the gateway to tokenized stocks and equities in the blockchain. Supported to issue tokens that represent the value of financial assets. For each token printed, Backed purchases the underlying asset (1-to-1) and stores it through a licensed custodian. Eligible token holders can exchange their tokens for the market value of the underlying assets.

We chose to build Ethereum first, the most powerful crypto network today. This will allow our users to maximize the usability of Supported tokens across the DeFi ecosystem as well as migrate them to other chains via existing bridges.
